Only the WOMENS WORLD CUP livened up a dull night.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
FOX: The US vs China WOMENS WORLD CUP quarterfinals match had a 2.0 preliminary score, up 0.2 from US vs Colombia.
CBS: The finale of THE BRIEFCASE fell 0.2 from Wednesday’s hour to 0.7, with the rest of the night devoted to 0.5-0.6 reruns.
ABC: After a 0.9 SHARK TANK rerun, WHAT WOULD YOU DO was up 0.1 to 1.1, but 20/20 fell 0.2 to 1.2.
NBC: A new DATELINE, up 0.3 to 1.1, followed a 0.9 AMERICA’S GOT TALENT rerun.
CW: TNT is a corporate affiliate, so the night was devoted to a rerun of the cable network’s THE LAST SHIP season premiere at 0.2.
Apart from some regional MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL on FOX, hardly anything is going on tonight in primetime. On Sunday, the same is true on the broadcast networks (the “event” is the finale of AMERICAN ODYSSEY), but cable will be very busy. Showtime has the series finale of NURSE JACKIE and the (so far) season finale of HAPPYISH; TNT begins the final season of FALLING SKIES; WGNAmerica has the season finale of SALEM; and AMC premieres HUMANS.

SHOWBUZZDAILY FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 8.21.2015
On another night riddled with football preemptions and likely to be adjusted by Monday numbers, there was little to say. ABC’s WE DAY special went largely unseen at 0.4, and the night’s original 20/20, down 0.2 to 0.7, barely outraged its SHARK TANK rerun lead-in. NBC’S DATELINE won the…
