NBC:  The ratings for the NFL PRESEASON game (St. Louis vs Oakland) will be adjusted tomorrow, but the preliminary 2.0 is up 0.3 from last Sunday’s preliminary.

CBS:  60 MINUTES gained 0.1 to 1.1 (although afternoon sports may have skewed that), and then BIG BROTHER rose 0.1 to 2.1, dwarfing the 0.5 reruns that followed.

ABC:  BACHELOR IN PARADISE and the finale of SAVE MY LIFE were both steady, respectively at 1.3 and 0.7.

FOX:  The night of reruns was topped by 0.9s for THE SIMPSONS and FAMILY GUY.  (The 1.8/0.9 listed for reruns of BOB’S BURGERS in the 7PM hour were almost certainly inflated by afternoon sports.)

THE WHISPERS shuts up after tonight’s final hour on ABC.  On cable, MTV heavily promoted its new Monday line-up during last night’s VMAs, which features the returns of AWKWARD. and FAKING IT, along with the new TODRICK.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
