SHOWBUZZDAILY FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 1.1.2016

The year was new, but the content wasn’t.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis follows the chart.

Fasts Demo 2016 Jan FRI.01

ABC:  20/20 won an extremely slow New Year’s night with 1.1.

CBS:  Triple 0.8s for a night of reruns.

NBC:  DATELINE managed a 1.0.

FOX:  MASTERCHEF JR reruns at 0.7/0.7.

CW:  The second night of the IHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL rerun was at 0.3.

The only piece of network programming tonight that’s worth noting is ABC’s marathon of GALAVANT episodes as preparation for the return of the lovably silly musical comedy on Sunday.  ESPN has a quadruple-feature of COLLEGE FOOTBALL bowl games, leaving only the January 11 Championship yet to play, and Starz airs the season finale of ASH VS. EVIL DEAD.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back Tuesday morning for detailed demographic ratings for top cable programs from this day.
