INTERNATIONAL BOX OFFICE NUMBERS through June 3

Men in Black 3 increased to $275 million overseas to date (up sharply from $132 million last week).  Battleship has stalled overseas — the foreign total is now $235 million (up marginally from $233 million last week).  Dark Shadows moved up to $121 million (from $107 million last week), putting the Tim Burton film within sight of maybe $225 million worldwide.  The Hunger Games edged up a bit to $247 million overseas (from $244 million last week), making just over $650 million worldwide a likely final outcome.  Snow White and the Huntsman enters the chart with $39 million overseas to date.  Not shown on the chart until it opens in North America next week, Prometheus opened in some territories this week to $35 million overseas so far.  

 

 

 

Marvel’s The Avengers (distributed by Disney) increased again to $803 million to date overseas (up from $782 million last week).  We are now projecting The Avengers will finish just over $1.5 billion worldwide.
