NETWORK FINALS:  ABC’s NBA game rose 0.2 in final numbers, but 48 HOURS and DATELINE lost 0.1, as did the NCIS rerun at 8PM

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  NCAA BASKETBALL neared Sunday’s announcement of the Tournament bracket with league championships, 3 of which (all on ESPN) hit the Saturday Top 10:  the ACC at 0.97, the Big 12 at 0.71, and the SEC at 0.59.  Nickelodeon’s KIDS CHOICE AWARDS were at 0.72 on the home network, and also at 0.08 on Nicktoons, 0.09 on TeenNick, 0.07 on TV Land, and 0.05/187K on CMT.  On Nickelodeon, the show also brought lead-in SPONGEBOB into the Top 10 at 0.67 (plus 0.07/267K on Nicktoons and 0.07/278 on TeenNick), and lead-out SCHOOL OF ROCK premiered at 0.49 (plus 0.04/211K on Nicktoons and 0.07/278K on TeenNick).  On Adult Swim, DRAGON BALL Z rose 0.06 to 0.71/1.538M, DIMENSION 2 was up 0.07 to 0.63, PARASYTE also gained 0.07 to 0.54, and SAMURAI CHAMPLOO edged up 0.02 to 0.47/1.045M, but NARUTO fell 0.04 to 0.39/880K, ONE PIECE lost a tenth to 0.32/730K, and KILL LA KILL was down 0.04 to 0.31/698K.  (The split between the early and late shows may have had something to do with Daylight Savings Time starting in the midst of the line-up.  A related note:  all the items in the chart called FILLER don’t really exist, Nielsen just uses them to fill the 2-3AM gap caused by moving clocks forward.  How they have ratings, only Nielsen knows.)  As for the Food Network morning slate, PIONEER WOMAN was at 0.33, KITCHEN AT FN ticked down to 0.31, and TRISHA’S SOUTHERN KITCHEN was at 0.28.  TLC’s SEX SENT ME TO THE ER dropped 0.03 to 0.23.  Starz’s BLACK SAILS gained 0.02 to 0.22.   Esquire’s BEOWULF was at 0.02/164K.  HBO’s special movie LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR & GRILL scored 0.07/273K.
