NETWORK FINALS:  SUNDAY  NIGHT FOOTBALL adjusted to 6.7, 0.9 below last week’s game. Elsewhere, 60 MINUTES lost 0.1 in final numbers, and FAMILY GUY gained the same.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  After all the the hype and buzz (and expense), the premiere of HBO’s WESTWORLD was… OK.  Its 0.77 rating was significantly below the 1.00 for the launch of TRUE DETECTIVE, let alone where GAME OF THRONES is these days (although GAME built gradually over a period of years to its current blockbuster status).  Perhaps a better comparison is that the launch is below the 0.90-ish numbers that POWER has been pulling on Starz this season, a far less high-profile drama. We’ll see, of course, how WESTWORLD holds up in the coming weeks, but HBO has to be mildly disappointed for now.  A few more demo notes:  the show is skewing heavily male and rather old, not necessarily bad things for a subscription service, but not exactly cutting edge.  Elsewhere on the night, LAST WEEK TONIGHT was up 0.09 to 0.42.

There were other headlines for the evening.  AMC’s FEAR THE WALKING DEAD aired a 2-hour season finale at 1.59/1.26, compared to last week’s 1.48, and also compared to 3.37 for the Season 1 finale and 1.88 for the midseason finale.  TALKING DEAD was up 0.06 from last week to 0.52, and GEEKING OUT gained 0.09 to 0.21.  On Showtime, SHAMELESS returned at 0.49, down 0.14 from its last premiere, and MASTERS OF SEX appreciated the lead-in, up 0.06 to 0.15.  On Starz, ASH VS EVIL DEAD had a 0.21 season premiere, up 0.08 from the 2015 premiere (on a Saturday), and BLUNT TALK came back at 0.06, down 0.07 from 2015 (also a Saturday).  In the non-premiere scripted world, THE STRAIN (which we now know is in its next-to-last season) fell 0.05 to 0.35.  Hallmark’s CHESAPEAKE SHORES gained 0.09 to 0.33.  

Sunday’s unscripted cable was led by VH1’s BASKETBALL WIVES, up 0.12 to 0.80.  On E!, ROB & CHYNA rose 0.08 to 0.70, and WAGS was up a tenth to 0.39.  Bravo’s REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY gained 0.06 to 0.70, and MANZOD WITH CHILDREN was up 0.07 to 0.36.  On Food Network, HALLOWEEN WARS was at 0.55, GUY’S GROCERY GAMES ticked down to 0.35, and WORST BAKERS IN AMERICA was at 0.31, with BAKERS VS FAKERS at 0.28.  NBC Sports Net’s NASCAR race was at 0.51.  TLC’s 90 DAY FIANCE lost 0.06 to 0.44, with the AFTER-SHOW down 0.03 to 0.43, and the PRE-SHOW down 0.03 to 0.17.  Spike’s BAR RESCUE gained 0.04 to 0.29.  History’s OZZY & JACK’S WORLD DETOUR was up 0.03 to 0.26.
