NETWORK UPDATE:  NEW GIRL gained 0.1 in final numbers, while HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT lost the same.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  The newly rebranded Freeform network (which had been ABCFamily) started strong, as the time-jumped PRETTY LITTLE LIARS opened at 1.06, up 0.13 from last January’s premiere.  SHADOWHUNTERS followed very creditably at 0.76, much better than the 0.58 that SWITCHED AT BIRTH did in that slot last year.  In the key 18-34 and 12-34 demos, SHADOWHUNTERS held more than half its lead-in, although it was oddly somewhat older skewing, actually beating LIARS in the 50+ demo.  On MTV, TEEN WOLF dropped 0.07 from last week’s season premiere to 0.39, and the second episode of SHANNARA (which has also been available online) lost a tenth to 0.38.

Elsewhere, STATE OF THE UNION-related programming aside, History’s CURSE OF OAK ISLAND was the strongest original, up 0.03 to 0.91, and with an AFTERSHOW at 0.42.  HGTV’s FIXER UPPER needed no fixing up, rising 0.12 to 0.88, and its HOUSE HUNTERS lead-out was up 0.03 to 0.53, with HOUSE HUNTERS INTL up 0.08 to 0.45.  On OWN, THE HAVES AND HAVE NOTS fell 0.12 to 0.81.  Discovery’s MOONSHINERS slid 0.02 to 0.73, and KILLING FIELDS was also down 0.02 to 0.43.  On Bravo, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS was steady at 0.69, while GIRLFRIENDS GUIDE TO DIVORCE gained 0.06 to 0.32.  Food Network’s CHOPPED JR rose 0.08 to 0.49, and CHOPPED upticked to 0.43.  A&E’s MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT edged down 0.02 to 0.47, while BORN THIS WAY climbed 0.07 to 0.38.  Lifetime’s DANCE MOMS lost 0.05 to 0.46, and PITCH SLAPPED was down 0.07 to 0.21.  On TLC, THE LITTLE COUPLE fell 0.06 to 0.46, while KATE PLUS 8 gained 0.05 to 0.40.  On BET, REAL HUSBANDS was down 0.04 to 0.28, and ZOE EVER AFTER fell 0.11 to 0.27.  Syfy’s THE EXPANSE held at 0.22.  On POP, IMPACT WRESTLING grew by 0.04 to 0.12.
