UPDATED CHART: SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Saturday Cable Originals: 12.13.2014

 

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

As usual on Saturdays, sports took up most of the top cable slots.  The top-rated original show of the night was ESPN’s telecast of the HEISMAN TROPHY presentation, which was at 0.98 in the P18-49 demo, with 3.15M total viewers.  That was the lead-in to the network’s special about “The U” which scored 0.89.  HBO’s Boxing was in the 0.49-0.36 range throughout its airing, and Showtime’s was at 0.26-0.16.  ESPN had a late-afternoon NCAA BASKETBALL game at 0.41.  The only scripted show to make it into the Top 10 was Hallmark Channel’s original movie, which was at 0.45 (Lifetime’s Saturday movie was at 0.31 in 12th place).  THE TRANSPORTER (TNT) fell 0.07 to 0.26.  THE MISSING (Starz) fell by 0.03 to 0.02, with 149K total viewers.
