SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Saturday Cable Originals: 2.28.2015 (Updated)

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

ESPN’s coverage of NCAA BASKETBALL continued to dominate Saturday cable, filling up 5 of the day’s Top 10 slots with ratings ranging from 0.75 to 0.36.  Sports also took the #2 slot, with Fox Sports 1’s UFC PPV PRELIMS at 0.56.  Lifetime’s movie managed to shoehorn itself into #4 with 0.48.  Regular series were topped by the usual Saturday hits, as Spike’s JAIL: LAS VEGAS rose 0.06 to 0.46, TLC’s SEX SENT ME TO THE ER gained 0.14 to 0.46 (its late-night episode was up a tick to 0.30, and UNTOLD STORIES OF THE ER gained a tenth to 0.35), and GHOST ADVENTURES (Travel) was up 0.05 to 0.40.  The 4AM FISHCENTER (Adult Swim) lost 0.04 to 0.35.  The series premiere of GOOD WITCH on Hallmark was at 0.27, with 2.9M total viewers.  We don’t have 18-49 comps for the last GOOD WITCH movie, which aired in October 2014, but in the total viewers metric, the series premiere was higher than that movie’s 2.5M viewership.  BLACK SAILS (Starz) lost a tick to 0.17.
