SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Sunday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 11.16.2014

NETWORK UPDATE:  There was an extra 0.1 for THE SIMPSONS and AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS in final numbers.  SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL adjusted to 7.1, 0.6 higher than last week’s game.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

That 7.1 wasn’t enough to beat THE WALKING DEAD (AMC), which took the title of the week’s highest rated show at 7.26, up a healthy 0.31 from last week.  TALKING DEAD, as usual, followed, although it was down 0.09 at 2.78, and COMIC BOOK MEN was farther down the list, down 0.15 to 0.49.  REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA (Bravo) stayed in 3rd place, down 0.15 to 1.61, and the network’s WATCH WHAT HAPPENS aired 2 half-hours afterwards at 1.03/0.56.  KOURTNEY & KHLOE (E!) gained 0.09 to 0.90.  ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER (Discovery) was up a tick to 0.69.  Both Adult Swim shows were up, MR. PICKLES by a tenth to 0.61, and SQUIDBILLIES by 0.14 to 0.57.  The 9PM premium cable dramas were neck and neck, with HOMELAND (Showtime) holding at 0.52 and THE NEWSROOM (HBO) up 0.08 to 0.53.  On Showtime, THE AFFAIR dropped a hundredth to 0.17, while on HBO, THE COMEBACK fell 0.05 to 0.06, and GETTING ON dropped 0.03 to 0.07.  (Lisa Kudrow may have the distinction of being the first person to simultaneously have the lowest-rated shows on HBO and Showtime, with THE COMEBACK and WEB THERAPY.)
