Several networks took the Sunday of Labor Day weekend off, notably HBO, Bravo, History and Lifetime, which may have skewed some of the results for other networks. KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS (E!), for example, zoomed even higher than it usually does, rising 0.3 from its last airing to a giant 1.5. The 2-hour season finale of TNT’s FALLING SKIES was at 0.53, down heavily from last week’s 0.70 without its usual lead-in from THE LAST SHIP, and even farther down from last season’s 1.2 finale. THE STRAIN (FX) fell 0.2 to 0.86. However, without TRUE BLOOD airing on HBO, RAY DONOVAN was up 0.08 to 0.55 for Showtime. That didn’t help MASTERS OF SEX, down 0.11 to 0.17. MANHATTAN (WGN) remained at a paltry 0.07.
