SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Sunday Cable Originals: 9.14.2014


NETWORK UPDATE:  SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL adjusted up 0.9 to 8.5.  On CBS, where the schedule slid 50 minutes due to afternoon football overrun, BIG BROTHER gained 0.3 to 2.5.  The MISS AMERICA PAGEANT grew 0.2 to 1.7, and the COUNTDOWN special that preceded it was up 0.1 to 0.7.

THE STRAIN (FX) topped SUNDAY CABLE, up almost two-tenths to 1.04.  In its 2d week, BOARDWALK EMPIRE (HBO) on the other hand fell 0.18 to 0.70.  Airing with a TRUE DETECTIVE rerun as lead-in, LAST WEEK TONIGHT was up 0.04 from last week to 0.30.  RAY DONOVAN (Showtime) gained a tenth to 0.66, and MASTERS OF SEX was up 0.04 to 0.30.  On Lifetime, WITCHES OF EAST END was steady at 0.45, but THE LOTTERY lost 0.04 to 0.18.  MANHATTAN (WGNAmerica) gained 0.03 (or to put it more positively, nearly doubled) to 0.07.  On the unscripted side, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY (Bravo) was rock-solid at 0.83, and NAKED AND AFRAID (Discovery) lost 0.07 to 0.74.  MOUNTAIN MEN (History) was up 0.07 to 0.61.  TOTAL DIVAS (E!) lost 0.15 to 0.50.
