SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Thursday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 1.22.2015

 

NETWORK UPDATE:  BACKSTROM lost 0.1 in final numbers yesterday, while AMERICAN IDOL gained that fraction (BACKSTROM may not have started until 9:01PM).  Also down 0.1:  BAD JUDGE, MOM and the 9:30PM BIG BANG THEORY rerun, while THE VAMPIRE DIARIES was on the plus side.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

WWE (Syfy) gained 0.03 and took the top spot on Thursday cable at 0.84, while NBA BASKETBALL (TNT) lost 0.26 from last week to hit 2d place at 0.,75 (the latenight game was similarly down 0.24 to 0.49).  A&E’s THE FIRST 48 was at 0.70, and served as lead-in for NIGHTWATCH, which debuted at 0.49.  On History, PAWN STARS lost a handful of hundredths to 0.68/0.66, and the same was true for PAWNOGRAPHY  at 0.47/0.43.  PROJECT RUNWAY (Lifetime) gained a tick to 0.52.  RIDICULOUSNESS (MTV) was at 0.52/0.42, which was up a tenth for the 10PM episode, then ROB DRYDEK FANTASY FACTORY fell 0.03 to 0.38.  ARCHER (FX)  lost a hundredth to 0.48.  MILLIONAIRE MATCHMAKER (Bravo) gained 0.06 to 0.31.  On Comedy Central, THE NIGHTLY SHOW wound up its first week by falling 0.17 to 0.32, following a similar 0.21 drop to 0.48 for lead-in THE DAILY SHOW.  PORTLANDIA (IFC) lost a tick to 0.10.  BABYLON (Sundance), not on the chart, was at a microscopic 0.001, with 61,000 total viewers.
