UPDATED: SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Thursday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 3.12.2015

 

NETWORK UPDATE:  SCANDAL and AMERICAN IDOL gained 0.1 in final ratings, and although the “REAL BLACKLIST” branded DATELINE did as well, THE BLACKLIST itself did not.  Meanwhile, things got worse at CBS, where THE ODD COUPLE, MOM and ELEMENTARY all lost 0.1.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

USA’s “event series” DIG didn’t live up to its emblem, falling 0.14 from last week’s premiere to an uneventful 0.42.  TNT’s late NBA game led Thursday cable at 0.87 (up 0.21 from last week’s late game), but the early game seemed to be dented by the wide variety of NCAA conference tournament games dotting the night, as it was at only 0.27, down a whopping 0.58 from last week’s early game.  VIKINGS (History) gained back 0.05 of last week’s loss to 0.84, topping the night’s scripted shows, and the night’s lead-in PAWN STARS episodes were at 0.71/0.66, almost exactly steady with last week.  Syfy’s WWE telecast dropped 0.05 to 0.76, and WIZARD WARS was at 0.31.  ARCHER (FX) jumped 0.13 to 0.64.  On MTV, RIDICULOUSNESS gained 0.05 to 0.45, BROKE A$$ GAME SHOW rose 0.07 to 0.33, and SNACK-OFF was at 0.22.  MARY MARY (We) fell 0.08 to 0.39, and MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN (not on the chart) fell 0.04 to 0.23, with 545K total viewers.  Bravo’s REAL HOUSEWIVES OF MELBOURNE held at 0.20.  BREAKING GREENVILLE (Tru) gained 0.07 to 0.17.  PORTLANDIA (IFC) was up a tick to 0.12.  Responses to some reader requests:  BRINGING UP BATES (UP) rose 0.02 to 0.12, with 258K total viewers.  AGAINST THE ELEMENTS (Weather) was at 0.04, with 215K total viewers.  EXPEDITION UNKNOWN (Travel) was at 0.16, with 561K total viewers.  REHAB ADDICT (DIY) was at 0.05, with 171K total viewers.
