NETWORK UPDATE:  THE BIG BANG THEORY and BONES gained 0.1 in final numbers, while DATELINE and the rerun of SVU lost the same amount.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

FX’s THE COMEDIANS premiered at an OK 0.37, and it was followed by 0.28 for the season premiere of LOUIE, a big drop from its 0.50 Season 4 premiere (which was on a Monday).  The top Thursday cable original was Spike’s LIP SYNC BATTLE, at a very steady 0.96 that fell between its ratings for last week’s 2 episodes.  Sports came next, with TNT’s NBA doubleheader at 0.84/0.67, and ESPN’s afternoon MASTERS TOURNAMENT coverage at 0.82.  (Evening coverage was at 0.29.)  VIKINGS (History) was up 0.12 to 0.80, with PAWN STARS up a tenth to 0.68.  Syfy’s WWE telecast (which will soon be USA’s) was up 0.05 to 0.77, and OLYMPUS fell 0.02 to 0.19, with 709K total viewers.  On MTV, RIDICULOUSNESS lost 0.06 to 0.37.  MARY MARY (We) dropped 0.06 to 0.33.  USA’s DIG regained 0.05 for 0.26.  Bravo’s REAL HOUSEWIVES OF MELBOURNE rose 0.06 to 0.16.  It’ll be interesting to see if the new management at Sundance will continue to accept ratings like the 0.03 for THE RED ROAD, down 0.01 from last week.
