SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Tuesday Cable Originals: 8.26.2014

 

NETWORK UPDATE:  Both BACHELOR IN PARADISE and 20/20 climbed 0.1 in final network numbers.

Below are the ratings in key demos for last night’s Top 25 original cable telecasts.  If there are any lower-rated series you’d like included, please let us know.  Some comparisons and context follow below the chart.

The PRETTY LITTLE LIARS (ABCFamily) summer finale was way up (by 0.27) from last week to 1.03 in 18-49s, and also up 0.79 in Females 12-34 to 2.75.  However, that was far below last summer’s finale, which had a 1.4 rating in 18-49s, and a 4.4 with Females 12-34, Total viewers were down, too, from 3.3M to 2.3M.  The TYRANT (FX) season finale fell half a tenth from last week to 0.53.  The COVERT AFFAIRS (USA) summer finale was steady with last week at 0.38, and lead-in ROYAL PAINS was up 0.03 to 0.46.  RIZZOLI & ISLES (TNT) was up 0.11 to 0.84, TOSH.0 returned to the Comedy Central schedule with a 0.99, followed by DRUNK HISTORY (Comedy Central), up 0.17 to 0.78, and then a notably strong night for THE DAILY SHOW, perhaps because it was Jon Stewart’s first night back after 2 weeks off, at 0.75.  FINDING CARTER (MTV) grew by 0.06 to 0.50.  Both episodes of COUNTING CARS (History) were up more than two-tenths, at 0.92/0.87.  BAD GIRLS CLUB (Oxygen) was at 0.65 and DANCE MOMS (Lifetime) was steady at 0.61, as were SULLIVAN & SONS (TBS) at 0.59 and HARD KNOCKS (HBO) at 0.41.
