Our weekly round-up of weekend sports ratings is moving from Monday mornings to Tuesday mornings in a new and improved format. Instead of reporting only household ratings from the 56 largest TV markets with local Nielsen meters (covering about 70% of the USA), the new Tuesday report will feature full national ratings (live+same day) for network and cable sporting events, including demographic detail.
UPDATE: the new Tuesday morning weekend sports report will start next week. On Tuesday July 19 we will publish national demographic ratings for sports programming on Saturday and Sunday July 16-17.
The newly formatted report for the sports programming this past weekend (July 9-10) will be available on Thursday (July 14) this week only. In the meantime, here is a sneak peek at the new format, looking at the same weekend last year.
