Rizzo RIP.

Last night’s 1.0 rating was too much for even NBC to stomach, and ANIMAL PRACTICE is the Peacock’s first victim of the season.  The show will continue to go through the motions for 3 more weeks, with a final broadcast on Nov. 7.  But look out:  coming to the “rescue” is WHITNEY, which will return to its former timeslot Nov 14, the same place where its season finale in March drew a far from robust 1.5 rating.

Next on the block?  Very possibly Up All Night, since Community is still looking for a place to land.
