The NBA Playoffs continue to dominate the top of the weekly cable ratings chart, with two games hitting a 2.2 rating with Adults 18-49 (Oklahoma City at Dallas on Thursday and the L.A. Lakers at Denver on Sunday, both on TNT and both coincidentally averaging the same number of Viewers 2+).  Five other NBA Playoff games (four on TNT and one on ESPN) rated well, between a 1.6 and 1.9 rating.

With most cable entertainment programs in repeats against the original episodes on the broadcast networks for the May sweep, HBO’s Game of Thrones was a rare original episode on cable this week, turning in a very good 2.0 rating (and up two tenths of a rating from two weeks ago).

Of course, after the ratings sweep month ends the broadcast networks will go to sleep after Memorial Day, when cable programming will come back with a vengeance with many original series.
