As it turned out, there wasn’t room for two shows about homicidal true believers on the network airwaves, and The Following is occupying that space.  CULT hasn’t yet been canceled by CW after its pair of miserably low-rated airings, but it faces the next-worst fate, sent away to the wilderness of Fridays at 9PM, where the network has been airing random reruns.  Those reruns will now take over Cult’s Tuesday 9PM slot, while Steven Rae (both fictional and pseudonymous), Billy Grimm and their crazed fans will play out their string for a while after Nikita.  That show, along with The Carrie Diaries, 90210, Hart of Dixie and Beauty and the Beast, remains on the bubble for next season.
