SHOWBUZZDAILY FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 1.15.2021

For no clear reason, a strong night for CW.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC:  SHARK TANK dipped 0.1 to 0.7, and 20/20 held at 0.6.

CBS:  MACGYVER (0.5) and MAGNUM PI (0.5) were both down 0.1.  Notwithstanding the chart, the BLUE BLOODS was a rerun at 0.4.

NBC:  The US FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP was at 0.3.

FOX:  WWE SMACKDOWN was steady at 0.6.

CW:  We’ll see in finals whether there were local preemptions involved, but for now the new and rerun episodes of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY (0.2/0.2) as well as PENN & TELLER: FOOL US (0.2) were all up 0.1.

Saturday and Sunday TV will be dominated by the NFL PLAYOFFS, and FOX will again use football as a launching pad for its upcoming series THE GREAT NORTH.  In addition, CW will finally begin its belated regular season with a new (and newly cast) BATWOMAN.

Note: The fast affiliate-based ratings below measure what aired on network affiliates in 210 U.S. markets from 8-11 pm Eastern & Pacific or 7-10 pm Central & Mountain. The numbers are some combination of the network schedule and any pre-emptions (such as local news or weather coverage). Accurate program ratings will be available Tuesday afternoon with the broadcast finals.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back TUESDAY afternoon for detailed demographic ratings for top Friday cable programs and broadcast finals.
