SHOWBUZZDAILY FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 3.19.2021

 

The NCAA TOURNAMENT arrived.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC:  A rerun of SHARK TANK at 0.4 was followed by 20/20, down 0.1 to 0.3.

CBS:  The preliminary ratings for the first primetime broadcast NCAA TOURNAMENT games were 0.8/0.8, compared to 1.0/1.0 for the parallel night in March 2019 (a Thursday).

NBC:  A rerun of THE BLACKLIST at 0.2 was followed by DATELINE, down 0.1 to 0.4.

FOX:  WWE SMACKDOWN dropped 0.1 to 0.5.

CW:  The new and rerun WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY (0.1/0.1) and PENN & TELLER: FOOL US (0.1) were steady.

The NCAA TOURNAMENT continues its 1st-round games tonight.  Sunday will be busy on cable, with premieres of Q: THE QUIET STORM on HBO and GENIUS: ARETHA on NatGeo, and the season finale of AMERICAN GODS on Starz followed by the premiere of THE GLOAMING.

The numbers are some combination of the network schedule and any pre-emptions (such as local news or weather coverage). Accurate program ratings will be available with the broadcast finals.
