THE ORIGINALS ended its season quietly.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis follows the chart.
CW: The season finale of THE ORIGINALS was steady at 0.3, which was also steady with the 2016 (in-season) finale. The RIVERDALE rerun that followed held even with last week’s new REIGN at 0.2.
ABC: WHAT WOULD YOU DO returned at 0.9, and 20/20 jumped half a point from last week’s 2-hour Watergate episode to 1.0, the highest-rated show of the night. The evening began with a 0.7 SHARK BANK rerun.
NBC: DATELINE remained at 0.9, after an AMERICA’S GOT TALENT rerun at 0.9.
CBS: Reruns at 0.5-0.6.
FOX: Reruns at 0.4/0.4.
There’s little of interest on the air tonight, but Sunday will be busy. AMC’s PREACHER and Starz’s POWER begin their new seasons, and there are season finales for HBO’s VEEP and SILICON VALLEY.
