FOX: LAST MAN STANDING has only been off the schedule since March 2017, but last night’s FOX premiere was up 0.8 from the ABC finale to a big 1.8. THE COOL KIDS was very compatible at 1.5. They were followed by the season premiere of HELL’S KITCHEN at 0.9, steady with the 2017 premiere.
CBS: The procedurals all declined from their 2017 premieres: MACGYVER by 0.1 to 0.7, HAWAII 5-0 by 0.1 to 0.9, and BLUE BLOODS by 0.2 to 0.9.
ABC: The TRUTH & LIES: JONESTOWN PARADISE LOST special was at 0.6, and 20/20 was up 0.2 to 0.7.
NBC: After pilot reruns at 0.5/0.5, DATELINE was down 0.1 to 0.7.
CW: MASTERS OF ILLUSION held at 0.2, the same as the rerun and PENN & TELLER: FOOL US rerun that followed.
The 44th season of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE begins tonight, with host Adam Driver and musical guest Kanye West. On Sunday, CBS’s GOD FRIENDED ME premieres, along with the season premiere of NCIS: LA. In addition, the FOX comedy line-up premieres, including the official launch of REL after a preview several weeks ago. Cable takes care of some old business with season finales of AMC’s FEAR THE WALKING DEAD and HBO’s INSECURE.
