THE SKED: Friday Pre-Empted

A brief ratings note:  the bulk of Friday’s network primetime schedule was preempted on the East Coast for live news coverage of the arrest of the suspected Boston Marathon bomber, and reruns were substituted for the scheduled episodes on the West Coast, so there won’t be any meaningful ratings for Friday night (other than the bragging rights earned by whichever network’s news division pulls ahead) and thus no Daily Ratings Charts or Network Scorecard.  Since the end of the season is coming up, it’s not clear when the original scheduled episodes of HAPPY ENDINGS will be airing, although VEGAS will air what would have been its Friday episode on Saturday at 8PM, and presumably the scheduled GRIMM episode will now air in the show’s new Tuesday 10PM timeslot on April 30.

On the other hand, Saturday brings a veritable battle of misfit toys, as two former event series face off:  both Vegas and SMASH were once meant to contest the Tuesday 10PM hour, but instead they’re going to fight out the dismal spoils of Saturday 8PM.  So there’s that.
