Nothing on network television last night was able to do better than a 1.3 rating.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
CBS: The cycle finale of THE AMAZING RACE tied as the highest rated show of the night at 1.3, and that was up 0.1 from last week–but it was far below last year’s fall finale 2.1, when the show still aired on Sundays. The network’s A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS special mustered an 0.5, before 0.7 for a BLUE BLOODS rerun.
NBC: The debut of CAUGHT ON CAMERA was a pallid 0.9, followed by 1.3 for DATELINE, which sas steady with last week.
ABC: 20/20 was the night’s only new show, down 0.3 to 1.1. The SHARK TANK rerun that preceded it was at 1.3.
FOX: Reruns at 0.5/0.4.
CW: A set of holiday special reruns, topped by 0.4 for MR. MAGOO’S CHRISTMAS CAROL.
CBS has a special SATURDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL game tonight, so there’s not much suspense about who will be winning the evening. The year’s final SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE features Amy Adams as host, with One Direction as musical guests. Among the competing reruns in primetime, NBC airs last year’s THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE, which is interesting because on Sunday night, ABC will be airing the original SOUND OF MUSIC, albeit for the first time in a “singalong” version. Sunday’s cable events are the season finales of Showtime’s HOMELAND and THE AFFAIR.

SHOWBUZZDAILY FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 8.21.2015
On another night riddled with football preemptions and likely to be adjusted by Monday numbers, there was little to say. ABC’s WE DAY special went largely unseen at 0.4, and the night’s original 20/20, down 0.2 to 0.7, barely outraged its SHARK TANK rerun lead-in. NBC’S DATELINE won the…
