A fairly standard Friday.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis follows the chart.

CBS:  The line-up returned with new episodes for the first time in 3 weeks, with MACGYVER (1.0) and BLUE BLOODS (1.2) steady, and HAWAII 5-0 down 0.1 to 1.2.

FOX:  Also new for the first time in 3 weeks, HELL’S KITCHEN (1.0) and THE EXORCIST (0.6) held at their last numbers.

CW:  The midseason finales of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES  (0.4) and CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND (0.2) remained at last week’s ratings.

ABC:  More stability from LAST MAN STANDING (1.1) and DR KEN (0.8), while SHARK TANK fell 0.2 to 1.0, and 20/20 slumped by 0.4 to 0.8.

NBC:  CAUGHT ON CAMERA was down 0.1 to 0.6, and DATELINE also lost 0.1 to 1.1.

FOX has a primetime MLS SOCCER game tonight, while it’s holiday time on ABC with MARY POPPINS and CBS with runs of RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER and FROSTY THE SNOWMAN.  In late-night, John Cena hosts SNL with musical guest Maren Morris.  Sunday night is all FROZEN on ABC, and CBS airs colorized episodes of THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW, but the big event will be AMC’s 90-minute midseason finale of THE WALKING DEAD.
