SHOWBUZZDAILY MONDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 9.28.2020

NOTE: ABC numbers below could be inflated somewhat by a local pre-emption in Kansas City for NFL MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (which aired nationally on ESPN). NBC numbers below also include a local pre-emption for NFL MNF in Baltimore, where the NHL STANLEY CUP FINALS was shifted to WBAL digital channel 2 and also available on WRC Washington in parts of the Baltimore market. The cleaned-up program ratings will be available this afternoon.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC:  DANCING WITH THE STARS returned to its Monday home at a preliminary 1.1, steady with last Tuesday’s episode.  EMERGENCY CALL was a solid lead-out at 0.7.

CBS:  After reruns at 0.4/0.4, LOVE ISLAND (0.4) and MANHUNT: DEADLY GAMES (0.2) were each down 0.1.

NBC:  The STANLEY CUP FINALS game was at a preliminary 0.8.

FOX:  LA’S FINEST dropped 0.1 to 0.4, and FILTHY RICH (which had been available online since last week) fell 0.2 to 0.3.

CW:  The IHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL concluded at 0.2.

Tonight, both broadcast and cable will feature the first PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE.  In addition, NBC premieres the new version of WEAKEST LINK.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

Note: The fast affiliate-based ratings below measure what aired on network affiliates in 210 U.S. markets from 8-11 pm Eastern & Pacific or 7-10 pm Central & Mountain. The numbers are some combination of the network schedule and any pre-emptions (such as local news or weather coverage). Accurate program ratings will be available this afternoon with the broadcast finals.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back this afternoon for detailed demographic ratings for top Monday cable programs and broadcast finals.
