UPDATED: THE SKED CABLE/NETWORK SCORECARD – 3/10/14

AFTERNOON UPDATE:  THE BACHELOR climbed an additional 0.1 to 3.3.

MONDAY CABLE:  Not a particularly good night.  BATES MOTEL (A&E) dived a steep 0.4 from last week’s season premiere to 0.9, and that sent THOSE WHO KILL down to a near-death 0.3.  DALLAS (TNT) stayed at 0.4, but that’s not good news.  SWITCHED AT BIRTH and THE FOSTERS (ABCFamily) both slipped 0.1 to 0.6/0.5, with their season finales coming next week.  TEEN WOLF (MTV) was also down 0.1 to 0.8.  Also down 0.1 were the VH1 duo of BASKETBALL WIVES and SINGLE LADIES, to 0.9/0.8.  Possibly because of Daylight Savings Time, WWE (USA) fell to 1.3 in its 8PM hour, although it was back at 1.6 in its latter 2 hours.  USA used the lead-in to give another shot to SIRENS, which got the same 0.5/0.4 for its 2 episodes that their premieres had had on Thursday.  SWAMP PEOPLE (History) held at 1.0, as did REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS (Bravo) at 0.9.

ABC is on a little bit of a roll.

Daily Comparison 3way 2014 Mon Mar 10

ABC:  The season finale of THE BACHELOR climbed 0.9 from last week’s episode to 3.2 (although that was down 0.3 from last season’s finale).  At 10PM, the AFTER THE FINAL ROSE post-show was dominant at 3.8, the same as last year (and more than double Castle‘s rating last week).

NBC:  THE VOICE was hit hard by ABC, falling 0.8 from last week to 3.7, which tied its season low.  It may not have been a great idea to premiere BELIEVE on this particular Monday, as the show only tied last week’s episode of The Blacklist at 2.7–a solid number to be sure, but one that may not bode well for its timeslot premiere on Sunday, when it’ll have to face off with ABC’s Resurrection, and with no Voice to protect it.

CBS:  HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER felt the pinch from ABC as well, falling 0.6 to 2.7.  The only other new sitcom last night was MIKE & MOLLY, down 0.4 to a new series low 1.8.  (Reruns of 2 BROKE GIRLS and MOM were at 1.4/1.3.)  INTELLIGENCE was actually up 0.1 to 1.3 despite the tough competition at 10PM.

FOX:  The return of BONES at 8PM only managed 1.7, 0.3 below its last Monday airing (although slightly above its last Friday episode).  It was, however, 0.2 above last week’s season finale of Almost Human.  That did nothing for THE FOLLOWING, which hit yet another series low 1.5, making one wonder just why FOX was in such a hurry to renew it last week.

CW:  STAR-CROSSED continues to show little spark at 0.3, down 0.1 from last week.  What was probably the last BEAUTY & THE BEAST to air in-season (The Tomorrow People moves to the slot next week) dropped 0.1 to 0.2.

CBS is taking the night off, but all the other networks are new tonight.
