THE SKED NETWORK SCORECARD – 10/28/13

The World Series had surprisingly little meaningful effect on the other networks.

Daily Comparison 2013 Mon Oct 28 three way

FOX:  WORLD SERIES GAME 5 had a preliminary 3.8, which probably won’t go much beyond a 4 in final numbers.  There hasn’t been a 5th World Series game in a couple of years, but this looks to be around even with the last one.

CBS:  With one exception, the fluctuations were fairly minimal.  HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was down 0.1 to 2.9 (in a seasonn that’s increasingly becoming a creative disappointment), 2 BROKE GIRLS was up 0.1 to 2.6, and HOSTAGES rose 0.1 to 1.3.  MOM, though, will have to hope for a bump from next week’s return of Mike & Molly–last night, although its lead-in from a rerun THE BIG BANG THEORY was up 0.1 to 2.5, the show fell 0.2 to 2.1.

NBC:  THE VOICE slipped 0.1 to 4.2, while in current numbers (which may not hold, because it began at 10:01PM), THE BLACKLIST was up 0.1 to 3.1.

ABC:  DANCING WITH THE STARS could only hold even with last week’s low 2.0, but CASTLE climbed 0.2 to 2.1.

CW:  The network’s numbers may be inflated due to NFL coverage in St. Louis, and that would be very bad news, since even with that in the mix, preliminary ratings have HART OF DIXIE and BEAUTY & THE BEAST just even with last week at 0.4/0.3.

ABC is taking the pre-Sweeps opportunity to rest Agents of SHIELD, re-airing the pilot (which risks losing momentum for next week).  Otherwise, all the networks have their usual line-ups tonight.
