The shows that fell last week didn’t bounce back.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
ABC: DANCING WITH THE STARS returned at 1.8, down 0.3 from its last premiere. CASTLE held at its 1.1 from 2 weeks ago.
CBS: SUPERGIRL and NCIS: LA both stayed at 1.3. SCORPION lost 0.1 to 1.5.
NBC: THE VOICE fell 0.3 to 2.7, and BLINDSPOT remained at 1.6.
FOX: GOTHAM and LUCIFER were steady at 1.3/1.2.
CW: Their recently announced renewals didn’t help CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND or JANE THE VIRGIN, which returned from a week off at 0.2/0.3, each down 0.1 from their last originals.
Tonight, NBC once again uses THE VOICE to launch a new show, in this case the medical drama HEARTBEAT. On cable, STITCHERS returns to Freeform.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
