UPDATED: THE SKED CABLE/NETWORK MONDAY SCORECARD – 6/16/14

NETWORK UPDATE:  In final numbers, both THE BACHELORETTE and MISTRESSES gained 0.1, but on FOX, 24 lost 0.1, putting it farther behind its MASTERCHEF lead-in.  The CBS MIKE & MOLLY rerun also slipped 0.1.

MONDAY CABLE:  As detailed in today’s WORLD CUP SKEDBALL, the highest-rated show of the day by far, on either broadcast or cable, was ESPN’s telecast of the US vs. Ghana match at 4.1 in Adults 18-49–even though, with a 5:30PM Eastern start time, it barely reached primetime on a weeknight.  Sunday’s US/Portugal match promises to be a smash.  Both TNT dramas took a 0.2 hit from last week’s premieres, with MAJOR CRIMES at 0.7 and MURDER IN THE FIRST at an already worrisome 0.5.  The season premieres of THE FOSTERS and SWITCHED AT BIRTH on ABCFamily, at 0.5/0.4, were way down from last summer’s premieres (0.6/0.7) and for THE FOSTERS, even more down from the show’s August peak of 0.8, although it was steady with the March season finale.  The night was dominated, as usual, by VH1 and the WWE.  LOVE & HIP-HOP ATLANTA gained 0.2 to 2.0 (plus another 1.0 for the 10PM reairing), and HIT THE FLOOR held at 1.1 (plus 0.5 at 11PM).  On USA, WWE was steady at 1.3-1.5 over its 3 hours.  LONGMIRE (A&E) slipped another 0.1, down to 0.5.  THE BOONDOCKS (Adult Swim) was steady at 0.9.  On History, SWAMP PEOPLE was up 0.1 to 0.9, and BIG RIG BOUNTY HUNTERS stayed at 0.5.  16 AND PREGNANT (MTV) lost 0.3 to 0.5.  The season finale episodes of LOUIE (FX) were at 0.4/0.3, about where that series has been all season.

A tasty hour for FOX.

Daily Comp 3way 2014 Mon Jun 16

FOX:  MASTERCHEF rose 0.2 to 1.8, the highest-rated show of the night.  24, though, slipped 0.1 to 1.5.

ABC:  THE BACHELORETTE lost 0.2 to 1.6, then MISTRESSES held even at 0.9 (despite a much bigger lead-in than last week’s Hillary Clinton special).

NBC:  AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR fell 0.1 to 1.6, after an 0.9 lead-in from a rerun LAST COMIC STANDING.

CW:  The rerun WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY actually outrated the new episode, 0.6 to 0.5 (the new episode was down 0.1 from last week), then BEAUTY AND THE BEAST was steady at 0.3.

CBS:  Still biding its time until Under the Dome returns, the network had an 0.8 from 48 HOURS (down 0.1).  Its highest rated rerun was 1.4 for MIKE & MOLLY.

ABC and NBC have new line-ups tonight.  On cable, there are several season finales:  FARGO on FX, AWKWARD on MTV, and PLAYING HOUSE on USA.
