THE WHISPERS managed to make itself heard.

ABC:  After a BACHELORETTE episode that was up 0.3 to 1.9, THE WHISPERS debuted at 1.5, a fair enough number for a summer launch, and slipped only 0.1 in its 2d half-hour.

NBC:  AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR climbed 0.2 to 2.0, and then THE ISLAND was steady at 1.2.

FOX:  SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE had a 1.2 season premiere, down 0.4 from 2014.

CBS:  Reruns, led by 1.2 for MIKE & MOLLY.

CW:  Reruns at 0.2/0.2.

Aside from CBS, all the networks have at least partially original schedules tonight.  On cable, ABC Family follows the summer premiere of PRETTY LITTLE LIARS with the debut of STITCHERS.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
