Day 4 OLYMPICS ratings were still down, but made up a little ground compared to past games.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and Olympics comparisons follow the chart.
NBC: The RIO SUMMER OLYMPICS coverage fell half a point in 18-49s to 8.6, but that was less of a drop than the full point drop for Day 4 in London, and the 1.5 drop in Sydney. If the games play out according to form, the numbers should go up at least a point tonight.
ABC: BACHELOR IN PARADISE held last Tuesday’s 1.4 premiere rating, but MISTRESSES dropped 0.1 to 0.5.
CBS: Reruns at 0.5-0.7.
FOX: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE reruns at 0.4/0.3.
CW: SUPERGIRL reruns at 0.3.
Tonight’s season finale is TNT’s ANIMAL KINGDOM.
