THE SKED: “Nashville” Keeps Twanging

Yesterday ABC announced a full-season order for NASHVILLE, adding the usual back 9 to its initial 13 episodes.  The show’s ratings haven’t been great, hovering in the 1.8-2.0 neighborhood in recent weeks, but that’s been enough for 2d place in the hour (except last week, when Chicago Fire received a boost from a massive The Voice lead-in), and the series is generally considered one of the high-quality arrivals of the fall season.  The tough task for ABC will be figuring out how to grow the audience, since viewers have a hard time gravitating to serialized shows after they’ve started their run.
