THE SKED: “Rizzoli & Isles” and “Perception” Start Strong

RIZZOLI & ISLES has been one of TNT’s most reliable hits, and it launched Season 4 last night in very healthy fashion.  The show was up from its Season 3 premiere in all measurements, with 6.6M total viewers (an increase of more than 1M) and a 1.4 in 18-49s (up 0.2).  That’s quite old-skewing, with less than 30% of viewers under 50, but the show has always attracted an older audience.

The Season 2 premiere of PERCEPTION was good news for TNT as well, as the show had 4M total viewers and 0.8 in 18-49s.  That was up about 500K viewers from what the show was typically drawing last season (although lower than its post-The Closer series premiere), and it was on the high end of Perception‘s 18-49 range.  Less promising was the fact that Perception skewed even older than Rizzoli & Isles, with 75% of its viewers over 50.
