>The broadcast week just concluded (August 8-14) was won by FOX, thanks to the finale of So You Think You Can Dance and NFL Preseason football on Friday (Tampa Bay at Kansas City).  The 1.6 rating for football does not sound like a great number but it is a great time period improvement on a tough night.

CBS benefited from a good week for Big Brother and an hour-plus runover Sunday of PGA golf, the last major golf tournament of the year.  The 1.7 (approximate rating) for PGA playoff tie-breaking action improved the time period and lifted 60 Minutes and Big Brother, which benefited from an improved lead-in and moving into higher-viewed time periods.

ABC and NBC continued to have ho-hum weeks.
