SHOWBUZZDAILY SUNDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 12.23.2018

A few stray originals among the reruns.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis follows the chart.

CBS:  The network had the late national NFL game, which pushed 60 MINUTES to 1.7, although that was still down 0.8 from last week’e episode.  An out-of-timeslot MADAM SECRETARY (its 100th episode) benefited from a much higher lead-in than usual, up 0.2 from its last airing 2 weeks ago to 0.8.  A rerun of GOD FRIENDED ME followed at 0.5.

ABC:  After 0.5/0.5 reruns, THE YEAR: 2018 was at 0.5.

NBC:  The preliminary 4.6 for SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL was down 0.3 from last week’s early number.

FOX:  Reruns at 0.3-0.9, although the high end of that range was the 7PM show, which likely reflected local NFL overruns.

CW:  Reruns at 0.2/0.1.

None of the networks will feature original programming on Christmas Eve, although the animated BEAUTY & THE BEAST will air on ABC, and IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE is on NBC.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

This feature will return in the New Year.
