Fast Demo 2017 Sep 17.SUN

CBS:  The EMMY AWARDS have a preliminary 2.1 rating, which is down 0.4 from the 2016 early number (adjusted up 0.3 in finals).  The telecast is on track to be the lowest-rated EMMYS ever, whih would continue the track of the last several years.  The night started with 60 MINUTES, up 0.2 from last week to 1.3.

FOX:  THE ORVILLE is currently at 2.6, up 0.3 from last week’s early rating, but the show began late, which will mean adjustment (as will a west coast re-airing), and also had the advantage of airing directly after the late afternoon game, rather than after the post-game round-up show.  Sitcom reruns followed at 1.2/1.0.

NBC:  The preliminary rating for SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL is 6.4, down 1.6 from last week’s early number for the season premiere.

ABC:  FUNDERDOME and THE $100,000 PYRAMID, which hadn’t aired new episodes in several weeks, were respectively at season lows 0.6/0.5.  The night began with reruns of AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS (0.7) and CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD (0.6).

Tonight’s broadcast line-up includes season finales for NBC’s AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR and MIDNIGHT, TEXAS, as well as the season premiere of ABC’s DANCING WITH THE STARS.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
