COLLEGE FOOTBALL seized the chance to take a Sunday before the NFL arrives.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

ABC:  After 0.6 for a FALL PREVIEW promo special, the WEST VIRGINIA VS VIRGINIA TECH game was at a preliminary 1.2.

FOX:  UCLA VS TEXAS A&M has a preliminary 0.7.

CBS:  60 MINUTES started the night steady at 0.7, then BIG BROTHER was down 0.2 from last Sunday to 1.6.  The night ended with NCIS: LA reruns at 0.4/0.4.

NBC:  A DO YOUR JOB PART 2 special was at 0.3, followed by reruns of AMERICA’S GOT TALENT at 0.4, and AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR at 0.5.

Two of the summer’s notable failures (both pushed out of primetime during the course of their seasons) end tonight:  AMC’s LOADED and TNT’s WILL. 

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

CABLE RATINGS: Saturday & Sunday cable ratings will be posted Wednesday morning, later than normal due to the Labor Day holiday.
