The MISS UNIVERSE pageant continued its decline.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
FOX: MISS UNIVERSE fell 0.2 from last year’s preliminary rating (itself down 0.3 from the year before) to 1.5.
CBS: After a 1.2 60 MINUTES, NCIS: LA was up 0.3 from its last airing (against an NFL playoff game) to 1.3, MADAM SECRETARY gained 0.2 to 0.9, and ELEMENTARY rose 0.2 to 0.7.
ABC: The night started with a 1.2 AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOMEVIDEOS, up half a point from its last new episode (unless that number reflects an afternoon sports overrun), then a pair of TO TELL THE TRUTH episodes were at 1.0/1.0, each up 0.2 from their last new episodes. CONVICTION’s season (and probably run) finished up 0.1 to 0.5.
NBC: A 0.4 rerun of CELEBRITY APPRENTICE was followed by DATELINE at 0.9.
THE ODD COUPLE finishes its season tonight with back-to-back episodes. In addition, GOTHAM and LUCIFER, having just recently reappeared, vanish again after tonight’s episodes until Spring.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
