A wash-out of a night for network TV.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
FOX: An attempt to move the late-night cartoon GOLAN THE INSATIABLE to network primetime went nowhere with a 0.6. That was down 0.3 from its rerun FAMILY GUY lead-in, which led the network’s night.
NBC: The only network fielding a full line-up of originals didn’t get much out of it: a steady 1.0 for DATELINE, a 0.2 rise for AD: THE BIBLE CONTINUES to 0.9, and a 0.1 uptick for AMERICAN ODYSSEY to 0.5.
CBS: 60 MINUTES dropped 0.2 to 0.8, and that was the best the network could do.
ABC: A night of reruns was led by 0.9 for a rerun of AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS.
ABC debuts its summer thriller THE WIHSPERS tonight, and FOX has the season premiere of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. On cable, Lifetime follows the season premiere of DEVIOUS MAIDS with the new UNREAL.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

The Sked: SUNDAY Ratings
Sunday preliminary broadcast ratings: 60 Minutes and the CBS 7:00-7:30 half hour specifically inflated by 10 minutes of the end of Masters coverage from 7:00-7:10 pm (mostly the monumentally awkward and amazingly tense ceremony in “Butler Cabin,” where the Green Jacket is awarded).
