Nothing but net.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
ABC: Networks live for Game 7s, and the NBA FINALS didn’t disappoint. The massive preliminary 9.2 will only get higher in final numbers, and the only interesting ratings question will be how the game affected GAME OF THRONES and the other cable finales/premieres, which we won’t know until tomorrow.
FOX: The end of FOX’s US OPEN coverage at 1.7 was the closest any network came to competing with basketball. It was followed by sitcom reruns.
NBC: A run of DESPICABLE ME 2 and an AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR rerun were both at 0.7.
CBS: 60 MINUTES at 0.6 was followed by reruns at 0.3-0.4.
REIGN ends its season tonight, and on cable, THE FOSTERS and ODD MOM OUT return to Freeform and Bravo.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
