The Olympics are still almost a month away, but viewers are getting ready.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

NBC:  The Women’s Gymnastics US OLYMPIC TRIALS dominated the night at 2.4, and were preceded by 1.2 for Track & Field.

CBS:  BIG BROTHER, like the night’s other originals, looked good coming off the low-rated July 3 holiday Sunday, rising 0.2 to 1.6.  60 MINUTES was also up 0.3 to 0.8, and the rest of the night was made up of reruns at 0.3-0.4.

ABC:  All the game shows were up, including CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD by 0.4 to 1.5, THE $100,000 PYRAMID by 0.3 to 1.5, and MATCH GAME by 0.1 to 1.2.  The night started with a 0.7 AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS rerun.

FOX:  Reruns, topped by 0.6 for FAMILY GUY.

Cable tonight includes the season premiere of AMC’s MAKING OF THE MOB, and what has turned out to be the series finale of Syfy’s HUNTERS.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
