THE SKED’S SUNDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 6/16/13

The contests viewers wanted on Father’s Day night were the sports kind, not the one with bathing suits.

Daily Comparison 2013 Sun Jun 16

ABC:  Per Mitch Metcalf:  We are estimating the 5.6 fast national rating for last night’s Game 5 of the NBA FINALS will go up to a 6.5 rating in the official nationals tomorrow (when the viewing in the West is properly counted for this live telecast).  This would match last year’s Game 3 (which aired on the similar Sunday last year) but still lags more than a point behind the 7.6 for last year’s Game 5 (which ended the series on a Thursday night last season).  The pre-game programming was down as well, as we project an adjusted 0.8 for JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE (compared to 1.0 before last year’s Game 5) and 1.8 for NBA COUNTDOWN (0.7 below last year’s 2.5).

NBC:  The night started with what we project will be a solid 3.2 for the runover from the US OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT.  But then the bottom fell out with a 0.8 for a rerun of THE VOICE and 1.3 for the MISS USA pageant, down 0.5 from last year’s installment.

CBS:  The highest rating for the night was a 0.9 for 60 MINUTES, which preceded 3 hours of reruns.

FOX:  Animated reruns, highlighted by 1.2 for 2 half-hours of FAMILY GUY.

Tonight NBC airs the first half of its 2-night season finale (finally!) of THE VOICE, followed by another “preview” of THE WINNER IS…  ABC also has a new line-up.
