SHOWBUZZDAILY THURSDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 11.22.2018

Mostly there was football.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

NBC:  The preliminary 5.5 for THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL was up 1.1 from the early number for 2017’s Thanksgiving game.

FOX:  MASTERCHEF JR: CELEBRITY SHOWDOWN is currently at 1.9, although that may be inflated by the late afternoon NFL game.

CBS:  MURPHY BROWN, the only regular original show of the night, slipped 0.1 to 0.8, with a considerably lower lead-in from a rerun BIG BANG THEORY (0.9) than it received from last week’s new MOM (1.3).  The rest of the night was reruns at 0.8-0.9 for the sitcoms and 0.5 for SWAT.

ABC:  An episode of 20/20 that was actually a promo for Disney’s upcoming “Mary Poppins Returns” was at 0.4.  The specials that followed, MEGHAN’S NEW LIFE and I’M COMING HOME, were at 0.3/0.3.

CW:  The rerun IHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL special was at 0.1.

There are more Christmas specials on tap tonight, and COLLEGE FOOTBALL on FOX.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back Tuesday morning for detailed demographic ratings for top cable programs from this day, later than usual due to the Thanksgiving weekend holiday.
