SHOWBUZZDAILY THURSDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 6.20.2019

Game shows are becoming the superhero movies of broadcast TV.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC:  HOLEY MOLEY had a strong premiere at 1.0, with FAMILY FOOD FIGHT a bit less popular at 0.6.  The scripted REEF BREAK debuted at 0.5.

FOX:  After MASTERCHEF at 0.7, SPIN THE WHEEL joined the game show craze at 0.8.

CBS:  A pair of LIFE IN PIECES episodes were at 0.6/0.5, compared to last week’s 0.6.  ELEMENTARY dropped 0.1 to 0.4.  The night began with reruns at 0.7/0.6.

CW:  IZOMBIE held at 0.2, and IN THE DARK was up 0.1 to 0.2.

NBC:  Reruns at 0.3-0.5.

There’s a curious piece of scheduling tonight, as Starz premieres the Richard Gere-led miniseries MOTHERFATHERSON with little evident marketing support on a night the network normally doesn’t program with originals.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back this afternoon for detailed demographic ratings for top cable programs from this day.
