BATTLE OF THE NETWORK STARS is sinking.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

ABC:  BOY BAND gained 0.1 to 0.6, but BATTLE OF THE NETWORK STARS dropped 0.3 to 0.7, and THE GONG SHOW was down 0.2 to 0.7.

CBS:  BIG BROTHER towered over everything else on the air, up 0.3 from last Thursday to 1.9.  ZOO benefited a bit (at least in early numbers), up 0.1 to 0.6.  The night started with 1.3/1.0 sitcom reruns.

NBC:  HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT lost 0.1 to 0.8, THE WALL was also down 0.1 to 0.9, and THE NIGHT SHIFT held at 0.7.

FOX:  Reruns at 0.7/0.6.

CW:  A rerun HOWIE MANDEL’S ALL-STAR COMEDY GALA was at 0.3.

It’s going to be another slow summer Friday on the networks.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back this afternoon for detailed demographic ratings for top cable programs from this day. Final broadcast ratings for Thursday will be available Monday morning, the final delay related to the Independence Day holiday.
