ABC:  GREY’S ANATOMY led the midseason returns last night with 2.4, down 0.1 from its November 2015 fall finale.  SCANDAL’s 2.1 was down 0.3 from its last airing.  HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER returned at 1.8, down half a point from November.  Compared to last year’s midseason premieres on January 29, 2015, GREY’S fell 0.4, SCANDAL an ugly point and a half, and MURDER was down an almost as bad 1.3.

NBC:  All things considered, the line-up held up well.  YOU, ME AND THE APOCALYPSE and THE BLACKLIST each slipped 0.1, respectively to 0.8 and 1.4.  SHADES OF BLUE was steady at 1.1.

CBS:  THE BIG BANG THEORY and MOM held last week’s 3.8 and 2.1, while LIFE IN PIECES lost 0.1 to 2.1.  After a rerun BIG BANG THEORY at 1.4 (the same as last week’s final score for the canceled ANGEL FROM HELL), ELEMENTARY stayed at 1.1.

FOX:  AMERICAN IDOL lost 0.1 to 2.1.

CW:  LEGENDS OF TOMORROW held last week’s 0.9, and THE 100 shed 0.1 to 0.5.

THE AMAZING RACE returns to CBS tonight, and ABC airs BE MY VALENTINE, CHARLIE BROWN.
