SHOWBUZZDAILY THURSDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 2.26.2015

Considering the number of events on the air, a surprisingly stable night.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

Demo Profile 2015 THU.26 Feb

ABC:  The 2-hour season finale of HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER was down 0.1 from last week to 2.8.  It followed a GREY’S ANATOMY that was down 0.3 to 2.2.

CBS:  THE ODD COUPLE held well from last week’s premiere, down 0.3 to 2.8 and retaining more than 60% of its BIG BANG THEORY lead-in.  (That compares with last year’s THE MILLERS, which had about 55% retention on the parallel night last year.)  BIG BANG, for its part, was steady at 4.5, and a 9PM rerun was at 2.1.  That led into MOM, which held 100% of that lead-in.  The flop of the night was the 10PM VICTORIA’S SECRET SWIM SPECIAL at 1.0.

NBC:  The network can breathe something of a sigh of relief, as THE BLACKLIST gained 0.1 from last week to 1.8 and seems to have found its Thursday level (however underwhelming that may be).  THE SLAP and ALLEGIANCE are already DOA, and they both went down 0.1 to a respective 0.7 and 0.8.

FOX:  AMERICAN IDOL and BACKSTROM both held last week’s numbers at 2.1/0.9.

CW:  Reruns at 0.3/0.2.

Now that February sweeps are over, we’ll have fewer nights without reruns, and tonight’s SHARK TANK and BLUE BLOODS will look familiar to fans.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
